I've been taking photographs since my late teens, starting with a second hand Canon AE-1 Programme with plenty of rolls of film, countless trips to Boots photolabs and more disappointments than I care to remember.
Life in the digital domain began with a Canon 350D swiftly followed by a 400D, a 40D and then a 7D until it encountered the dreaded "error 20".
This has now been repaired (thank you Fixation!) and has become my back-up camera.
The main camera I shoot with is a Canon 5D mk3.
Lenses include a Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS, Canon 24-105mm F4L IS, Canon 17-40mm F4L, Canon 50mm 1.4, Sigma 10-20mm and a set of Lee filters (including the Big Stopper).
I love the thought that photographs capture a fleeting moment in time - a slice of life frozen forever (although the Big Stopper filter equates a fleeting moment to several minutes allowing the sensor to merge, melt and massage movement into a single image - lovely).
Lighting, shapes, shadows and smiles inspire my photography.
If you find something here which makes you smile and inspires you, it's been worth it.
I'm represented on line by several stock library sites - including Istockphoto/Getty Images and Photolibra - and images have been used in magazines, calendars, newspapers, websites, flyers, posters and TV.
